The Man With the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

The Beeb has a good summary of some of the rumors/controversy hovering around Stieg Larsson’s internationally bestselling Millennium Trilogy. It’s too bad Larsson’s protagonists, P.I. Lisbeth Salander and investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist, aren’t real: they’d be able to sort through all this obfuscation and figure out the mysteries resulting from their creator’s premature death in a heartbeat.

The third—and probably final, though it’s still possible that Larsson may turn out to be as posthumously prolific as Tupac—book in the trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest, will be out in the United States May 25th.

  1. This Christopher Hitchens piece about Larsson and the “Girl” empire in the December issue of Vanity Fair is a good read as well: http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2009/12/hitchens-200912.
