Shakespeare, Not Stirred

Ron Rosenbaum, author of The Shakespeare Wars, has written a fascinating article about the Arden Shakespeare‘s decision to grant a play of dubious origin its seal of authenticity. The play in question is, amusingly, called Double Falsehood. Rosenbaum makes a convincing–and amusing–case that the scholarly Arden may have made a major misstep; either way, the debate is certainly fascinating, and makes a nice change from that tired “Was Shakespeare really Shakespeare?” question. (Spoiler alert: Shakespeare was actually a time-traveling Dan Brown!)
